    The Shreveport Center is currently seeking part time data entry/ ticket sellers. Under immediate supervision, responsibilities include processing ticket sales, and exchanges at the facility's box office.

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Process ticket sales at the box office and assist with group sales when requested.
    • Answer questions concerning admission fees, fares, schedules, reservations, coming attractions and ticket policies.
    • Balance all applicable transactions for the date of service and complete all necessary reports before departure.
    • Open cash and all monies, vouchers, coupons, or credit cards received during daily sales.
    • Keep daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold in the form of a sales report.

    Position Summary:

    * Meets with client groups to plan and organize assigned meetings and/or events.
    * Coordinates activities with the various service contractors for assigned meetings and/or events.
    * Guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies and procedures.
    * Keeps clients informed as to status of deadline schedules, including but not limited to floor plan submissions, meeting room set-up specifications, insurance requirements and other relevant details.
    * Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing.
    * Provides clear, concise, and timely communication of detailed requirements to operational departments. Assists in scheduling operational set-ups to provide equipment or services needs. Monitors and supervises facility set-up when necessary.
    * Assists in training event services staff.
    * Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
    * Monitors in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events. Follows-up on all client requests, concerns, and problems.
    * Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operations.
    * Serves as manager on duty as required.

    • Keep superior informed of any performance and/or problems, and recommends improvement and/or changes as needed.
    • Assist with difficult, high priority, sensitive or emergency operational task, as dictated by the Sr. Security/Parking Manager.
    • Assist in monitoring and evaluating security operations to ensure resources are productively utilized and adequate work quality standard are maintained.
    • Identifies problems in the quantity and quality of work within the security department and take prompt and effective corrective action.
    • Assist with on training to ensure the over all performance of all security employees.
    • Must be able to multi task.
    • Responsible for all security officer and event security officer.
    • Responsible for scheduling security for both events and daily operation.

     

    Experience / Training /Education: Required: High school diploma, security experience, able to work long hours as well as holiday and weekends. Desirable: Any amount of supervisory experience.

     

    Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: Knowledge of Criminal law as it relates to the parameters of security enforcement. Ability to learn Policies and Procedures of SCC/SMG Security Department.
