Jamie Foxx will perform at Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, Thursday, September 24th

Shreveport, LA…. Jamie Foxx, the triple threat, takes the stage on a 50-city North American Tour starting July 3rd in   Las Vegas. After continuation of a busy movie career and the release of his chart topping CD “Intuition,” Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx returns for an evening of live music at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on September 24th.
Bay Area Productions and Another Planet Entertainment announces Jamie Foxx’s North American“Blame It Tour”  tour which kicks off July 3, 2009 and runs through October 2009.
Intuition was released on December 16, 2008 and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.  The first single off the album “She Got Her Own” rose to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Chart.  The second single, “Blame It” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and is currently at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, up two spots from last week. Intuition also features an impressive list of artists such as T.I, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Ne-Yo.
Before Foxx even started his new album, he had an album title. “I’ve always lived my life trying to understand what women are all about, from the hood to the White House,” he says. “So with the album Intuition, I tried to sing about what women really want—they want to have fun, they want to drink the right drink, eat the right food, be talked to a certain way. In thinking like that over the whole album, hopefully we captured what women want to hear.”
Fresh off another stellar performance in Joe Wright’s inspirational film, “The Soloist,” Foxx plays Nathaniel Anthony Ayers - a homeless musician with schizophrenia who plays at Walt Disney Concert Hall. The film is based on a 12-part series of articles by Los Angeles Times columnist Steve Lopez and is in theaters now.
Starring in big box office hits like Ray, Collateral and Dreamgirls, Foxx’s career in front of the camera is as impressive as his successful career in the music industry. Foxx won an Academy Award® for Best Actor in 2005 for his portrayal of the legendary Ray Charles in Ray, also sweeping the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG), BAFTA, and NAACP Image Awards, as well as numerous critics’ awards. Foxx is also the first African-American actor to be nominated for two Oscars® in the same year, and is only the second man in history to receive two acting Oscar® nominations in the same year for two different movies, Ray and Collateral.
