Venue, Guests, and Patrons Code of Conduct

The Shreveport Convention Center is committed to providing entertainment experience for both patrons and employees that is safe and enjoyable for all. Any verbal or physical harassment or other abusive behavior towards other patrons or staff members is not permitted and at management’s discretion, the responsible party may be ejected from the venue. The following conduct is prohibited at the Shreveport Convention Center.

PROHIBITED BEVAVIORS

• Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, threatening, or violent in nature, including verbal or physical harassment of officials, players, venue staff or fans.

• Conduct that is illegal by law.

• Conduct resulting in damage to the Venue or other personal property.

• Displaying signs, symbols or images that convey or represent hate speech or hate based organizations. (including offensive clothing ) .

• Using language, symbols, or making gestures that are threatening, abusive, or discriminatory, based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, ability, and/or sexual orientation.

• Displaying signs, symbols, or images for commercial purposes.

• Entering or attempting to enter the Venue other than that permitted by the fan’s ticket or credential.

• Throwing objects of any kind or entering the playing surface or performance area.

• Failing to follow requests from venue staff regarding venue operations, policies, and emergency response procedures.

• Irresponsible use or consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs will not be permitted.

• Possession of alcohol by a minor or providing alcohol to a minor.

• Possession of alcohol not purchased inside the Venue.

• Smoking (including e-cigarettes or vaporizers, medical marijuana and other vapor producing devices) anywhere inside the venue, including dressing rooms, restrooms, lobbies or pre-function areas, Emergency Exits is strictly prohibited.

• Cannabis Consumption or any other form of illegal drugs anywhere inside the venue, including restrooms, lobby or pre-function areas, Emergency Exits is strictly prohibited.

• Sitting in a location that’s not designated on event floor plan.

• Engaging in any commercial activity not authorized by Shreveport Convention Center.

• Prohibited items can also include any items that in judgement of facility management, that pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other guests.

TERMS OF ENTRY

• No Re-Entry, patrons who are scanned in on a ticket, cannot leave and re-enter. (management reserves the right to alter the NO RE-ENTRY policy)

• Children 13 years of age and under must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or a guardian.

• No Backpacks, bags larger than 6 x 9 are prohibited, all other bags are subject to bag inspection.

• Magnetometers and/or Wands are used at the entries and all guests must be checked by the metal detector upon entry.

• Prohibited items will be confiscated upon entry and will not be returned.

• By entering the Shreveport Convention Center, all patrons consent to being photographed, audio and video recorded which may be used for publication or reproduction on websites, social media, or any other purposes pertaining to the venue.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

• Backpacks, and any bags larger than the approved ”6 x 9” (Cheer and other athletic events that use anything other than the aforementioned must be approve by management)

• Weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, knives, pepper spray, stun guns, concealed weapons, and firearms.

• Food and/or drink purchased outside of the Venue. ( Unless Authorized By Management )

• Fireworks of any kind including, but not limited to, flares, smoke bombs, incendiary devices, and pyrotechnics.

• Illegal drugs or harmful chemicals.

• Aerosol cans or pressurized containers.

• Professional camera equipment, including but not limited to tripods, battery packs, and large commercial video cameras. ( Unless Authorized By Management )

• Large bull horns/megaphones

• Laser pointers.

• Remote controlled aircraft or unmanned aircraft systems (drones).

• Helium Balloons (regular balloons may be prohibited and are to be coordinated with management)

• Bikes, skateboards, hoverboards,. Strollers may be permitted for children’s events but are subject to venue security check.

• Large walking umbrellas, (small collapsible permitted)

• Animals (excluding certified service animals with proper documentation).
